Welcome to Jay Jangles Children’s Centre

At Jay Jangles Children’s Centre we follow a unique activity program, developed by British teachers and education experts. We believe that each child is unique as well as active learners and need an experience to stimulate their curiosity, imagination and creative development. We are a bilingual centre offering fully qualified and enthusiastic staff. Our  customised centre is large and bright with open plan and outdoor play areas. We pride ourselves on our understanding of the things that really matter to parents when it comes to nursery care, and through the utilisation of our many child care policies and procedures, free settling in sessions for your child, an effective key person system, and a key focus on working in partnership with parents at every step, we aim to ensure that your child receives a start second to none. This we achieve through a wide range of equipment and resources, where children’s interests are developed. We provide a varied and interactive Curriculum that concentrates on the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Our Staff

Our staff are childcare professionals holding a variety of recognised childcare qualifications including NNEB, PPA, BTec, and NVQ amongst others. We elect our staff very carefully ensuring that they are dedicated childcare professionals and meet the criteria as expected.

We offer many training opportunities for all staff to ensure they are up to date with all current practices and legislation. All staff must go through a very in-depth induction to ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times.

Ratios

Our staffing ratios are 1:4 for all children between 1-2 years and 1:6 for all children 2-3 years and 1:8 for all children 3 plus.

Key Person

We operate a Key-Person system in the nursery. A member of staff is allocated to both you and your child to ensure a consistent approach to your child’s development.

Settling In

When your child starts at the Nursery a settling in period is arranged to ensure a smooth transition from home to Nursery. It is also an opportunity for us to learn more about you and your child.  Settling sessions will be arranged by your key person.

Throughout the nursery we believe in a ‘learning through play’ philosophy and actively encourage this at all times.

Health and Safety

Security

Access to the nursery is through a locked security door.

No admittance will be granted to the nursery, unless a prior appointment has been made.

Premises

The building is safe and secure with an outside play area to provide care for children aged one to five years.

Special Needs

We will do all we can where possible, to accommodate children with special needs. As the nursery is committed to encouraging all children’s development we would meet with parents and the children to discuss the best possible environment for the child to be integrated into. As with all children we will monitor their development and regularly observe and track the children’s development to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum is built.

Equipment

We have a wide range of equipment both for indoor and outdoor play which has EU/British Standards approval.

Equal Opportunities

At Jay Jangles we treat all children and staff equally regardless of sex, race, religion, colour, creed, ethnic or national origin or any special need they may have.

The morning and afternoon snacks provided at the nursery are healthy, and nutritious. Full day children will need to be provided with a healthy packed lunch by their parents. All children are able to access water throughout the day.
